Each horse's past performances and workout lines are followed by Trainer Form, a record of the horse's trainer with all horses he has run in up to six categories relevant to today's race. The statistics cover a trainer's performance at all North American tracks for the current year to date and the entire previous calendar year. For each category, the trainer's number of starters, winning percentage, and return for each $2 bet to win are listed. Categories are chosen in order from the list below as they apply to today's race. For example, a trainer's record with first-time starters is listed only if today's runner is a first-time starter.
